Sheena Metal is an artist, humanitarian and spiritual practitioner. She has been a talk radio host, at LA Talk Radio, for nearly nine years, helming the daily “Sheena Metal Experience" (which Talkers Magazine named one of their prestigious “Frontier Fifty”), and three weekly shows: “Haunted Playground”, “Music Highway” and the brand-new, “Raising The Vibration” (which replaced the controversial, “Two Chicks Talkin’ Politics”, she had hosted, since 2011). She has been behind the microphone, in Los Angeles, for over 23 years, seven of which were spent, on the Howard Stern affiliate, KLSX (97.1: The FM Talk Station), where she was the subject of a comprehensive spread in the “Los Angeles Times: Sunday Calendar” and featured in Michael C. Keith's book "Sounds in the Dark", currently in publication, with a forward by radio icon, Larry King.
She is a creative/performing artist, who has spent many years, as an actress, writer, director, stand-up comic and journalist. Metal is a recurring host/emcee, at the legendary Hollywood Improv and broadcasts her daily radio show from there, quarterly. She has worked as a host, announcer and/or panel moderator for: Artists Rise Up Los Angeles, the Indie Series Awards, Action on Film Festival, the Indie Entertainment Summit, Louisville, Kentucky's Mid South Paranormal and Sedona World Wisdom Days, just to name a few...as well as many Gay Pride Festivals, around the country. Metal is a series regular on the popular “Child of the 70’s” web series, acting alongside comedians, Judy Tenuta and Bruce Vilanch. She can also be seen on “National Enquirer TV”, in Film Lab’s “Amnesia” and “Brad's Untitled Restaurant Project”, the Outfest premiered, “Bruno & Earlene Go To Vegas”, the short film “Point Mugu” (starring Skeet Ulrich) and recently, on stage, at the Stella Adler theatre, in “Last Summer at Bluefish Cove”.
As a philanthropist, Metal works with many spiritual, humane and cultural organizations. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for Ensemble Studio Theatre LA, the Artemis Women in Action Film Festival, the Moreno Valley Cultural Arts Foundation, SIA Organization and the Huntington Beach Historical Society. She also works with the Harvey Milk Foundation and, each year, directs a celebrity, charity production of Eve Ensler’s poignant play, “The Vagina Monologues”, with nearly 100 actresses (all of whom have been guests on her radio shows), to raise awareness about, and money for, anti-violence charities. Metal regularly teaches both children and adults, with physical and/or intellectual differences for: Actors with Autism, Performing Arts Studio West and Meet the Biz, as well as mentoring LGBTQ youth, for Lifeworks’ Models of Pride, at both the Los Angeles LGBT Center and at the University of Southern California.
Metal runs her own spiritual practice, based in Southern California, which emphasizes motivation/healing of one's energetic vibration, through spiritual counseling, consulting and guidance. She has worked, as a psychic, for numerous entertainment industry events, in Hollywood, including the NBC/Universal Christmas party (annually) and the "50 Shades of Darker" premiere. Metal has participated in a variety of television, radio and film projects, as an intuitive advisor, motivational speaker, spiritual/paranormal expert and ghost investigator...moderating Q&A's, hosting live broadcasts and participating in paranormal/spiritual gatherings. She is a regular on "Dancing with Ghosts", hosted by renowned medium, Rebecca Fearing (who is the recurring psychic on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills") and the resident host, for both of Patti Negri's (Travel Channel's "Ghost Adventures") "Revive Your Spirit" and "Wanted: Dead or Alive" symposiums. She recently took part, in a reality TV show pilot, produced by Telepictures ("Ellen" / "Extra").
On November 9, 2016, Sheena Metal founded “I Am Raising the Vibration of the Nation (and the World)”, a non-profit movement of peace, love, kindness and unity, to her mother (who passed earlier that year)...and to carry on her ethereal/humane work. In just over a year, the project has grown to include: a companion radio show (RaisingTheVibrationRadio.com), a daily motivational hub (IAmRaisingTheVibration.com), a blog/vlog (AVibrationNation.com), live events/gatherings, upcoming motivation handbooks (YourVibrationIsRising.com), an online outreach community (TheVibrationNation.com) and an online store (VibrationVortex.com) featuring, among other things, an enlightenment candle, appropriately titled, "Raising the Vibration". Since 2014, Metal has had a signature line, from CBT Candle LA, called “Experience” and will launch her a second line “Ascension” (which will also features essential oils), later this year. She is currently working on her first book, a guide to staying in the light, in spite of the distractions of darkness, as well as, a biographic novel about, both the spiritual and the three-dimensional world gifts, she’s received from her mom, in life and in death.
